Long before Ecosustain existed formally, we were actively strengthening community identity through arts, music, and shared traditions. From organising the First and Second International Cultural Meeting in Quirinópolis — bringing together seven nationalities in celebration of diversity — to organizging and participating in countless local music events, supporting artisans, and creating art with regional materials, our path has always been deeply cultural.

The Cultural Hub at the proposed future EcoCentre will carry this legacy forward: a living space where community, tradition, creativity and sustainability come together.

Arts, Music and Traditions

Children's literature, encompassing reading, stories, and books, plays a crucial role in a child's development. Unfortunately, many young ones in Brazil miss out on this enriching experience. In collaboration with My Sweet Memory Book and the Instituto Solar de Fralães, The Corrêa Neves Family Book Company, along with founders João and Patricia, we are excited to introduce the Mini Authors project. This initiative aims not only to introduce children's literature and nurture reading habits among families and children but also to cultivate a community of budding authors. Our goal is to publish 100 self-authored books by 2030.  These books will feature original and authentic stories, fully illustrated and crafted by the children and their families with our expert guidance. We are currently seeking funding through our partners in Brazil in order to achieve this goal.
